To improve the community, and provide a much-needed service to our tenants and property owners, and provide a rewarding career for our talented employees. To treat each owner, landlord, investor with the utmost respect and care; and to take care of the properties we manage as if they were our own.
OUR HISTORY
Founder Mike Hooper got his start in the property management business in 2004 with the purchase of a charming 1924 bungalow-style house in North Hyde Park. In the beginning, he was working full-time as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER and spent nights and weekends renovating the house and learning the rental real estate business.
Rent the Bay, LLC was founded in 2007. With that first home, and several subsequent purchases, Mike experienced firsthand the challenges of being a tenant, a landlord and an investor. As a result, he decided to find solutions for these challenges:
Step 1: Create a rental portal that would serve as
a showcase for rental properties, and a one-stop resource for
renters and landlords. www.Rentthebay.com was born!
Step
2: Establish a resource platform from which he
could launch a comprehensive property management services menu, and
a means to offer the best available local subcontractors and
service providers. Each passed Mike’s worthiness test by
performing work on his own personal properties.
Step 3: Form the community connections that would generate a fountain of referral sources for qualified tenants.
Step 4: And finally, Mike created a Property Management service system that he tested on his own properties, both multi-family and single properties. Once his system passed the test, he began offering this proven system of full service property management to single-family homeowners, to investors and multi-family landlords, and to the tenants who call these properties home.
